Hailing from an isolated region of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro, in the interior north of Portugal, ThanatoSchizO are a decade-old band who have always defied categorisation, incorporating in their technical and compelx sound elements of progressive death metal, ambient, black metal and electronics. They have just finished recording their fourth album, featuring the guest talents of Timb Harris from Estradasphere and Svein Egil Hatlevik from Fleurety and former DHG, a pair that illustrates very well the contrasts at play in ThanatoSchizO's music.
