ThanatoSchizo "Schizo Level" (Misdeed Records)
Proggressive Black Metal? I think such description should fits best to ThanatoSchizo, a newcomers from Portugal. But it also is not closest description, becuse some ambient or even gothic touches would be also founded here. I have to say I like some parts of this release but sometimes when a track seems to be really 'nice' suddenly appears some strange or even too strange arrangement which crush its idea. But it's not too bad at all. On the other hand there is a wide difference between each song concerning structures and their universal ideas. Sometimes it's death oriented progressive doom with symphonic keyboards and sometimes it's gothic oriented black. If you're looking for something 'new' why don't you taste this stuff? But you can't expect pure metal even if running time is over 70 minutes...
